"To be? Or not to be?"..A Blackfryar. That is the question...

Hey all! I told ya that I would keep you posted on how the whole Blackfryar cast thing went....

Ok, so not thinking I would actually get anything I carried on my way through out my very long day on Tuesday(humm that rymed). I mean, I have never tried out for anything before, I only really sing in the shower and the car and I have the worlds worst memory! I'm truly happy I remember my own name half the time, and sometimes I have to think about whom I am talking to as to what THEY know me by. Gosh I blame school for that problem!

Anyway, I have a Sprint phone...I know, I know. Your asking yourselves; "Why on God's great green earth, would she do a thing like that????" Simple answer, I was backed into a corner by my mom and the creepy Radio Shack guy. Need I say more?? Didn't think so... So I have a Sprint phone and it gets the WORST reception in the entire universe!!!! Granted, I live in the country, but my drive to work is all wide open spaces and I pass like God knows how many cell towers the entire way down the road! Well, I was in the barn mucking stalls, the usual, and being that I am in a metal barn that acts as a fricken metal wall to the cell tower right outside, my stupid Sprint phone never goes off when I have a call.

I finished stalls and started down the road and the 1st chance my lil phone got A bar, it beeped that I had a voicemail. And as per the norm, I call and check it. It was John. One of the rockin actors and judges at my tryouts on Sunday. He wanted to know ya know, if I was intrested cuz I got the part in the Blackfryars group. UMM YEAH I WANT IT!! Now, granted, I really had no intent on going to audition, and actually getting a part. I really just wanted to kill time while my dear friend Laura tried out. Now me being me, I had to make sure that I had all my lines memorized cuz again, we know how bad my memory sux...(What were we talking about??? j/j) So like a crazy person, I cliped my script of Spoon River Anthology up to a shower ring while I was in the shower that morning, reciting these lines over and over again. Thank goodness I wash my hair twice. It gave me some time! lol And then ALL the way down the road, I kept going over them. I think Laura knew the monologue as well as I did by the time we got there! lol I sang a song before I left the house but still not knowing what I was gonna do when I actually got there. I didn't know what they wanted! So when I sang, thank goodness it was a faire song and one that I knew pretty well.

So after phaying phone tag which really only went one way, I finally got ahold of John today while I was at work. He was a really chill cat to talk to over the phone. He probably thinks I'm a loony though. There was a delay on our phone so he probably thinks I have like this studdering problen or something. Humm, that would make singing a song quite intresting now that I think about it! lol

My biggest problem about the entire thing is that I really wish and hope that my two frineds make it with me. It just wouldn't be right if they didn't. I would feel horribale. I know for a fact, that they are AMAZING actors. I hope they see that as well. And then my 2nd biggest problem WAS that I will have to miss some of faire to go to Germany. I asked John and the only stipulation is that I being back souvenirs. I think I can pull that off. My work is even cooperating with the faire schedual. I did have to bribe the boss with tickets though. Damn. Oh well. I'll take what I can get! lol
